Pros +
- Great atmosphere and great staff.
- Really lovely spa hotel with exceptional food and service. The onsen is large and has a wonderful outdoor area. We enjoyed the buffet and upgraded for a shabu shabu experience which was amazing. I booked Thai massage and therapist Erica was very skillful an it helped me recover from skiing and tune up for more skiiing. The desk service is very friendly and accommodating with excellent English. They even clean your car windshield of snow.
- It worth for money. Staff is helpful. Dinner and breakfast is outstanding.
Cons -
- Almost all food has a form of pork in it.
- We found it a bit hot in the room and found the solution is to keep the system off and if necessary open the window. Lots of international tourists and some are not aware or considerate of Japanese culture and have cell phones playing and loud and boisterous but this is not the fault of hotel.
- Got a thai massage it was really bad a complete waste of money

Good location, nice and comfortable room, hot springs…
The property was breathtaking. The foyer was designed to take you in and slow you down. The architecture on the inside was modern and spacious. The hot springs were clean, with beautiful stained glass windows. We were in awe from the moment we entered the property until we left! The main building was situated right up against the mountain side so that all views, hot prongs, main area, dining made you feel as if you were in the forest.
The location was excellent, and the buffet was very high-quality and varied. The service was very personal. I particularly liked the welcome we had in the room.

Great onsen, rooms, and food!
nothing!
This is the 2nd time we were here.We love:The buffet and selection of alcohol. We can pay extra to have free flow of wine and sake. The harp performance and marshmallow by the fire.Outdoor Onsen.Room settings.
No private onsen to be booked.
The best hotel in Jozankei, Sapporo. We booked the cottage due to the outdoor onsen. We very much enjoyed the restaurant and loved the food options! Our favorite was the almond tuilles and milk soft serve ice cream. Highly recommended!
The property was very relaxing in general and everything was carefully thought out. I especially enjoyed the harp performance and marshmallow toasting session at the lobby at night. The breakfast and dinner spread was amazing as well. There were plenty of parking at the location.
Nothing!
Food was great, both breakfast and dinner lunch. I just wish they had more options and bigger portions for that awesome steak. The only "not so positive" thing that I experienced during our stay is that gaze from the "Steak" staff who's preparing the portions. It felt like she didn't want me there anymore after 5 servings. There are only 2-3slices per serving!
Breathtaking views room as well as dining area and common area, especially when it’s snowing. Facilities are modern and relaxing. Food wise it’s not bad with a variety of Japanese cuisine and Japanese western fusion. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Their attention to details are impressive. Witnessed them patiently assist the physically challenged elderly lady into the van when it was snowing and very windy.
Posh hotel with very attentive and helpful staff. Buffet dinner has a good spread of quality food. Breakfast was decent and acceptable range of choices. There is evening entertainment at the lounge area where a harpist will play some soothing music.
Bathroom & toilet are rather small. There is no bedroom slipper provided inside the room. Shoes must be taken off at lift lobby & locked away. Guests are to move around the hotel in the slippers provided but they are not comfortable. Signage for the Onsen for women is not very visible and a male with his wife walked into the changing area unknowingly.
Very quiet, the meals were exceptional. Staff very friendly and speak English. We even saw deers gracing.
Their time of check out was 10am, not as to industry. Also the spa closed at 9:30-12. Why not close it noon till 3 pm, since check in is still 3 pm.
The room is quite spacious. There are activities such as grill marshmallow, harp concert at night for family members to enjoy.
Quite far from downtown.
The hotel is wonderful, well located and good mixture between modern and tradition. English speaking staff is super kind, buffets great and onsen relaxing. Lounge bar also offers a great variety of drinks.
